CASE PROJECT 1

1. For XYZ Corporation I will choose the server-based network because there are only users assigned to a particular project and not all users can access into it. Server-based network can limit the user’s accessibility and easily manage the accounts if there is an additional employee. The XYZ Corporation also needs a server for the projects where limited users can access into it and make easy back up of the projects.

2. For Widgets, Inc. I choose the peer-to-peer network because users are only exchanging information thru sneakernet, no need for a server because employees can able to control their resources in their own machine. And Widgets, Inc. wanted cheapest solution and minimal training for employees for their network.

3. For American Tool and Die I choose the combination network because they need both server and peer-to-peer networking. They need the server-based for their database for the two machine shops. They also need the peer-to-peer network because individual users need some control in their own resources. Server-based network is capable network faxing and dial-in services.

4. For American Tool and Die they need specialized server like Communication Server, Fax Server and the Application Server.
